Linda Wilson-Gordon
CEO
With over 30 years in marketing and direct sales experience in both the Insurance industry and in high tech, Linda draws on a wealth of both personal experience as well as the knowledge and experience of an extensive network of business and personal contacts. She began as a personal producer and a Financial Planner. Linda migrated to a wholesaling position after about 6 years and recruited and trained agents across the country. She still works with agents and agencies across the country to provide coaching and training and of course leads. Need to get something done? Linda is the go-to person. Her creative abilities as well as her attention to detail make her a very effective leader of the NSMG team.

DavID W. Nave
President
David started his financial career in 1980 with a local national bank. He has been licensed in all lines of insurance since 1983 and has previously held securities licenses and held multiple professional designations. He holds interests in real estate businesses and was a Firefighter for 12 ½ years.
He has experience helping businesses with Key Person, Buy-Sell Agreements, Premium Finance and many other specialty programs. David holds insurance licenses in many states, is an Illinois licensed Business Broker and New Mexico licensed Business Consultant.

B. David Cullers
Director of NSMG CPA Services
I have been with North Star Marketing Group just over two years. During this time, I have helped the company recover roughly 125 million dollars for small businesses while personally helping businesses recover 25 million here in the Midwest.
I have spent my entire career in service-related industries; Military, EMT, Firefighter, Registered Nurse, and Federal Law Enforcement Officer. This experience has contributed to my success as an executive team member at NSMG.
As a business consultant, I will partner with you from start up to retirement. We will grow your company, maximize your business and personal wealth, and reduce your tax burden. This is done through planning, strategizing and drawing on our companies’ resources and strategic partners

David Thawley
Director of Business Development
David Thawley has over 43 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. He has worked with thousands of clients, providing Life Insurance, Premium Finance, Investment and Financial Planning advice. Additionally, he has trained thousands of agents, and is a recognized public speaker, having delivered over 1,500 presentations to groups, some as large as 10,000 people.
He obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1982 and has owned and operated several successful financial services companies serving high income, high net worth companies and clients. Additionally, through his leadership, David has developed national teams of agents that were recognized as the top producers and earners in their companies.
David brings this wealth of experience to North Star Marketing Group, providing leadership, marketing and financial expertise to our consultants and client companies.

Corey Rolle
Director of Business Development
Corey Rolle is the founder and President of The Rolle Group. Corey is from South Florida where he attended Suncoast High School and played offense and defense positions in football. From there, Corey played college football at Kentucky Wesleyan and graduated with honors from Bethune Cookman College with a BA in Communications.
Corey began his career at the Orlando Sentinel in the advertising department and also worked on the entertainment team as a team leader overseeing telemarketing. In addition, Corey was selected to serve on the Sentinel Communications Diversity Steering Committee and was selected as an Central Florida YMCA Black Achiever. Corey then he joined The Coca Cola Company where he worked in sales for 3 years.
Corey started The Rolle Group a consulting firm that works with a number of small and large businesses across a variety of industries. In addition, Corey is the Founder/President of The Mary Lee Taylor Foundation For Single Mothers.
Corey gives back to the community through his volunteer work. He is active with the Big Brother Program, The National Association of Black Journalists and his local church. He is a motivational speaker who frequently talks to local high school and college students.
Hard work and a positive attitude are the two factors Corey attributes most to his success. Whether speaking to a high school student or the head of a large company, these qualities come through and define Corey, his team and his companies.

Mike Phalin
Managing Member of North Star Business Coaching
With over 25 years of experience in sales leadership and executive management, Mr. Phalin is a dynamic leader recognized for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and entrepreneurial success. As a principal at a telecom start-up sold for a record multiple in 2019, he proved his ability to build high-performing teams and scale businesses for acquisition.
He is the Co-founder and Managing Member of North Star Business Coaching, LLC, and Founder of Southern Strategies, LLC, an independent consulting firm helping organizations navigate complex challenges and achieve sustainable growth. His approach combines practical insight with innovative problem-solving, earning him a reputation as a trusted advisor focused on optimizing operations and maximizing long-term value.
A U.S. Army veteran and graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Liberal Arts, Mr. Phalin brings a holistic perspective to strategy, blending creative thinking with data-driven decisions. Married for 30 years and a proud father of two adult sons, he embodies commitment, integrity, and leadership in both business and life.
